Fishing
Our kayak outrigger and platform is an entirely new fishing experience. The platform provides ample storage for all your gear, and the size of your tackle box is no longer an obstacle! With the kayak fishing platform you do not have to settle for a stable but slow kayak. The efficient design of the kayRak outrigger pontoon coupled with a conventional sea-kayak provides an unbelievably stable fishing platform while maintaining speed and efficiency. A kayak provides access to fishing locations unreachable by a powerboat. There are in fact three distinct fishing modes with the kayRak. The optional sport-seat provides the first solution. An electric trolling motor can be added with the optional motor bracket, and the sport-seat provides a much better position for casting and reeling in the big fish. With the optional side-platform, you can quickly paddle to your remote fishing location, then you can sit on your tackle box, or stand on the side platform. Cargo Transport
Kayaking transport is truly limited only by your imagination. The generous size of the kayak platform allows you to transport just about anything you can balance on a 20” x 42” area. We are constantly thinking of new things to take with us. Before kayRak, sea-kayaking adventures involved a good deal of planning, and often leaving behind things that you really wish you were able to take along. Suddenly, conventional camping gear can be used on your kayak trip, and you no longer require the high tech and expensive camping gear. Pet Platform
The kayRak was originally conceived with the idea of being able to take our 60 lb lab/newf. cross on our kayaking trips. What an ideal solution. The kayak platform provides ample room for your Dog or other pet to move around and change positions on a long trip. The amazing stability provided by the outrigger makes some running around behind you a point of no concern. This is a much different experience than taking a big dog on a canoe trip, where every shift in position throws off the entire balance of the boat. No longer will your dog bring half of the lake into your boat, the kayRak platform is self-draining. Getting on the platform and off is even easier than getting in and out of a canoe. We are so excited about going on extended trips with our dog, and no longer have to feel bad about enjoying ourselves while our precious companion is pawned off on a friend, or stuck in a kennel.
